The Mart

The Ask

Located in Downtown Chicago, The Mart is the largest privately held commercial building in the US. It is considered the most important center for design in North America with 250 luxury showrooms including bath, kitchen, textiles, furniture, floor and wall coverings, lighting, outdoor, contract and more.

Originally approached by The Mart to manage social and paid media supporting approximately 75 decor showrooms, one year later we were asked to take over the social and paid media programming supporting all 250 showrooms. 

 

The Answer


We completely evolved the look and voice of The Mart’s Instagram content by incorporating more elevated imagery, and captions that exude a more engaging tone. Simultaneously, we conceived and launched an Instagram Live series called “Swatch What Happens,” inviting noted industry experts to share their projects, design ethos, tips and trends.

Additionally, we introduced collab posts to the content mix, partnering with well-known designers to help us grow both The Mart’s audience and reach. And we’ve further leveraged the full suite of Instagram features by incorporating a robust Instagram reels strategy that includes creating original content, as well as curating and sharing user-generated content. This has resulted in a 186% increase in follower growth (September 2021-September 2022).
